Sculptor Blair Buswell's notoriety has come mainly from his sports
action and portrait pieces. His versatility has been far reaching
and his sculptures acknowledge the power and grace of the human
figure. The realism of his work displays a devotion to detail and
accuracy, while capturing the essence of his subject.
Blair has completed numerous commissions, limited editions, medallions,
and other figurative works. His pieces are displayed and appreciated
in museums, private collections, college campuses, sports complexes,
and public sites throughout the nation. Blair has also been
sculpting the lifesize busts of the new inductees for the NFL Pro
Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, since 1983.

Blair has received many national awards and honors. He is
a Fellow of the National Sculpture Society and in 1991 he was named
by the society as one of the most promising young sculptors in the
country. Blair was also awarded the "1990 Sport Artist
of the Year" by the United States Sports Academy, the first
sculptor ever to be so honored.
